Students should be allowed to set their own rules.
Around the world, teachers have been the ones who always set the rules, to me this should change. Students should be the ones who set the rules.
As the students are the ones who are affected by the rules, they should be allowed to have a say in this. One example is that now a days, most students prefer long hair to short hair. However, due to the strict school rules, they have to keep it short. This issue might affect the student in his social life. Some people think person’s hair does not affect his social life but it does. Imagine that if all your friends had long hair and you were the only one who had short hair, you will feel that you are not in the “circle”. However this issue is more for the males as the female just has to keep their hair neat during schools hours and once the school bell rings, a new hair style appears. One of the main reason why the school introduced this rule is because the school wants its student to look neat, therefore the rule for the males hair should be more like the female’s in a sense that the student can keep his hair long however is has to be neat.
Almost all of the students will agree with this rule and if it is possible for them to set this new rule, they will. There are many other reasons why students should be allowed to set their own set of rule, one of them will be because if the students are allowed to set their own rules and live with it, they will not break their own rules. This does not only affect the students but also the teachers and the school. It affects the student by as they were the ones who set the rules, they definitely would not break the rules if not it will defeat the purpose of them setting their own rules. Hence the teachers will have fewer problems with those students who break the rules and create problems. This will also affect the school as if all the students are studying better with their own rules, the school’s standard will go up.
This here by shows that allowing students to set their own rules, it will be an advantage to not only the students, but also the teachers and most importantly the school’s name and standard.
